A Little Bit of HistoryIt was 1757 and Louis XV was at the height of his sovereignty as the Monarch of France and elegance and beauty were among the centerpieces of his reign. Haute couture and haute cuisine and fine wines were elevated to premiere status and pleasure-seeking flourished as it never had before. And so, it was fitting that in the southern village of Grasse surrounded as it was by rolling hills and fields of flowers a method of extraction was created that would enable the nobility of France to find a new passion: perfumes. This was the milieu in which Sozio, Inc. came to be. And the passion for perfumes has not abated over the 250 years since our founding. Grasse is now known as la capitale mondiale des parfums and we have continued to build on our unique heritage of family ownership that began over two centuries ago. And, like fine wine, Sozio, Inc. has continued to improve with age.
The History of Alpine
➢ In 1956, Raoul Pantaleoni founded Alpine Aromatics in the town of Metuchen, New Jersey.
➢ Spurred by early success in the fine fragrance arena, Alpine expanded it's capabilities to include fragrances for the personal care, air care, fabric care and household markets in addition to fine perfumes, colognes and after shave products.
➢ For over 50 years, Alpine has been a leader in the fragrance industry with an unparalleled dedication to service and quality.
➢ Alpine's ability to respond to changing needs in a dynamic marketplace, amidst fluctuating world economies and cultural differences, is firmly rooted in the people who comprise this expanding organization.
➢ Alpine has state of the art facility located in Piscataway, NJ in houses all of Alpine's creative development laboratories, manufacturing, warehousing and corporate headquarters. This is the new home of all Sozio, Inc. employees as of June 2011.
